Dr. Lauralyn Dyer
Dr. Lauralyn Dyer is a 2014 graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and joined the Shawme team in October of 2018. She is originally from New Jersey but went to college at the University of New Hampshire and easily fell in love with New England. Lauralyn has been intrigued by animals from as early as she can remember and has had cats and dogs in her house her whole life! After college Dr. Dyer studied marine ecology in graduate school, but Veterinary Medicine was always in the back of her mind. She enjoys the diversity of the profession and working in collaboration with pet owners toward the goals they have for their pet’s care. Upon graduation from Veterinary School, Lauralyn converted her passion for anatomy and physiology into a professorship at Mount Ida College’s Veterinary Technician program. Dr. Dyer uses these teaching skills daily in educating both clients and staff in all of the fascinating details of Veterinary Medicine. While not in the office, Dr. Dyer enjoys spending time with her husband (who is also a veterinarian!), their three dogs (Oliver, Baron and Finnegan) and five cats (Beastie, Hunter, Squeaks, Tux and Noki).
