Dr. Lauralyn Dyer

Dr. Lauralyn Dyer is a 2014 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and joined the Shawme team in October 2018. Originally from New Jersey, Lauralyn attended the University of New Hampshire for college, where she fell in love with New England.

Her passion for animals began at a young age, with cats and dogs always part of her household. After college, Dr. Dyer studied marine ecology in graduate school, but veterinary medicine was always at the forefront of her mind. She enjoys the diversity of the profession and working closely with pet owners to achieve their goals for their pets' care.

Upon graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Dyer’s passion for anatomy and physiology led her to a professorship at Mount Ida College’s Veterinary Technician program, where she honed her teaching skills. These skills are now integral to her work, as she educates both clients and staff on the fascinating aspects of veterinary medicine.

Outside the office, Dr. Dyer enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a veterinarian, and their dogs—Baron, Finnegan, Lila, and Digby—and four cats—Beastie, Theodore, Hazel, and Noki.
